AEWE Student Leader Meeting 4/23

Plan on attending the April 23rd AEWE Meeting at the BACC.  Leaders @ 5:30, Students @ 6:30

Hiking groups will be announced and individual hiking gear will be issued.

Please have all t-shirts designs ready to submit.

This is a mandatory meeting.

AEWE Leaders,

This is your official reminder of tomorrow’s 3/23 AEWE leader and student meetings. The leader meeting will be at 5:30 followed by the student meeting at 6:30.

Please plan on attending. If you cannot attend please notify us by replying to this email.

Tomorrow’s student meeting will involve 5 training stations to help students (and new leaders) get familiar with important preparations and equipment for Colorado.

See the training station assignments below (and attached) and be prepared to instruct the session you are assigned to.

We have also had a few leader changes since the last meeting.

Carl Moore will be taking this trip off to recuperate from some health issues and Trae McGuire has bowed out due to other commitments. Lisa Crouch has joined us subsequently and we should meet her at this meeting.

AEWE – Training Stations

March 23

Please bring items to help demonstrate the area you have either been assigned to or have volunteered for.  I would try and keep each session to about 10-12 minutes and that should get us thru the groups in 60 minutes. New leaders should try to be in a group going thru the training.  If you are an experienced leader and not assigned to a group, and want to help feel free to jump in on a group.

STUDENTS / LEADERS MEET MARCH 23!!!

AEWE leaders will meet on March 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the BACC Ag. room #130.

Student/parent meeting takes place same day at 6:30 p.m. in the BACC mall.

Plan to be there to hear vital trip information and training.

Leader Meeting Reminder 2/23 @ 5:30 PM

AEWE Leaders meeting Monday, February 23 at the Branch Area Careers Center. 

Leaders will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Bill Earl’s room #130. 

There is  NO student meeting scheduled this month.

This meeting will review trip planning and training assignments for next month’s student meeting.

Get Busy

AEWE 2015 kicked off Monday January 19th.

The message was "get busy now"! Get your boots and start getting them broken in and get off the couch and start conditioning. Hikes in 2015 will be between 7000 and 10000 feet which means huffing and puffing for air especially with a 30lb pack on your back.

The next AEWE meeting is March 23 @ 6:30 PM
